IKONO PDP STAKEHOLDERS KICK AGAINST MICRO ZONING

Image
......... call erring Chapter Chairman to order .........sue for peace in Ikono The PDP stakeholders in Ikono yesterday unanimously kicked against the dastardly, illegal and hasty decision of the PDP Ikono Chapter Chairman, Barr. Moses Akpan to constitute a zoning committee without duly consulting stakeholders of the LGA. Rising from an enlarged meeting held at the Ibiaku Ntok Okpo residence of the Ikono House of Assembly Member, stakeholders agreed to caution the Chapter Chairman, put things right and restore sanity to the polity in the interest of all. Drawing strength from Section 17 of the PDP constitution 2017 as amended which empowers only the LG caucus to take critical decisions affecting the party. It was noted that such caucus hadn't yet been constituted and as such the Chapter Chairman lacked the authority to constitute such a committee without proper consultation with Chapter Party Stakeholders. Making inferences from a document chronicling PDP House of rep...

For Sleeping On Duty, Ekiti Assembly Suspends Honourable Indefinitely The Ekiti State House of Assembly has inflicted an indefinite suspension on Mr. Sunday Akinniyi, a member representing Ikere Constituency 2, for allegedly sleeping on duty and also breeding terrorism. The sleeping honorable was also told not to be seen anywhere near the vicinity of the Assembly complex; the lawmakers ordered the clerk to register with security agencies an official complaint of threat to lives of members. According to the chairman, House Committee on Information, Dr. Samuel Omotoso, the suspension order was made following a series of allegations against Akinniyi by Tunji Akinleye, Leader of Business. Buhari Wants to Reap Where He has not sown.

"Dariye and Nyame’s Convictions Is The Handwork of the PDP Administrations of Yar’adua and Jonathan, Buhari Wants to Reap Where He Has Not Sown - Reno Omokri My attention has been drawn to a statement by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission claiming that the recent convictions of former Governors Jolly Nyame and Joshua Dariye, has vindicated them from the oft repeated accusation that the EFCC, under Buhari, is lukewarm in prosecuting chieftains of the ruling All Progressive Congress, for corruption. Nothing could be farther from the truth and the statement only serves to show the dishonesty and lack of integrity of the current leadership of the EFCC. The fact is that Joshua Dariye and Jolly Nyame, the two former Peoples Democratic Party members recently improsoned for fraud, were charged and prosecuted by the PDP administrations of Umaru Musa Yar’adua and Goodluck Jonathan’ and not by the All Progressive Congress led government of Muhammadu Buhari. Joshua Dar...

I Accept President Buhari’s Challenge To Prove That He Is a Liar

I Accept President Buhari’s Challenge To Prove That He Is a Liar - Reno Omokri It is very interesting that President Buhari has said that he did not sack the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, when he came in because he wanted him to salvage the terrible economy he inherited. He also alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party left the country in tatters and challenged anyone to contradict his claim. I hereby accept the President’s challenge and I remind him that this will not be the first time I have exposed him as a liar, having recently unveiled 20 lies in his Democracy Day speech to the nation on May 29, 2018. In his Tafsir message delivered on Sunday June 10, 2018, prominent Islamic cleric, Sheikh Abubakar Gumi, detailed how the Jonathan administration built infrastructure all over the North including 9 Federal Universities and 165 almajiri schools. In contrast, the only project initiated, started and completed in the last three years by the ...

A’IBOM TRADERS CONDEMN IME EKPO’S EVIL ROLE IN ITAM FRUITS MARKET Some concern Traders in Akwa Ibom at the weekend raised alarm over what they called, “the spate of destruction by Commissioner for Lands and Urban Renewal, Mr. Ime Ekpo, in the guise of working on the Governor’s directive and the master plan of Ibom Industrial Layout.” The traders raised the concern, following a tip on the ploy of Mr. Ekpo to take over the construction of the Itam Fruit and Vegetable Market thereby frustration its aims and objectives. They said they were disturbed to know that the same “Mr. Ime Ekpo, whom his days with Julius Berger as a site engineer, channeled all the waste water from the underground pipeline drainage to the same land earmarked for the construction of the Itam International Fruit and Vegetable Market. He fraudulently absconded with the billions of Naira he made from the dubious project. The same Ime Ekpo is now back to distort the ongoing construction work at the Market, a pr...

The Wonderful Woji-Elelenwo Inter-Change: Another Golden Delivery By Simeon Nwakaudu For two years running, the Nigerian Guild of Editors held their Annual General Conference in Rivers State.  They were opportuned to see the different stages of the Woji-Elelenwo Dual Carriageway and Bridge first hand. The Guild of Editors  were opportuned to witness significantly, the progression  of this major Inter-Change, abandoned at less 20 percent completion by the immediate past failed Amaechi administration . On July 30, 2016, Governor Wike led the Guild of Editors to inspect work on the Woji-Elelenwo Bridge. At this time, though the contractor had worked under the supervision of Governor Wike for over 9 months, the bridge was yet to get halfway. From the point where the contractor had reached at the time, Governor Wike and the editors looked across the river into the virgin land and houses on the other side. It appeared as if the project will never be completed. W...
