It was the gathering of the next generation leaders in Assemblies of God Nigeria as they gathered to celebrate the 2019 National Children Education Department (CED) Day at the Assemblies of God, Favour Cathedral, Woji 2 Sectional Headquarters, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The theme for the year was “Ring the Gospel Bell”. It was a time of refreshing in the presence of God as these next generation leaders thrilled the entire congregation with soul-lifting worship, unending praise, bible recitations, talk shows, the Word, etc.

It is been said that every child is a gift of nature, give them their today, give them time to play and make way for their future. In line with this, these precious gifts of nature were given the opportunity to teach the congregation three basic things of life namely: to be happy for no reason; to be always busy with something; and to know how to demand with all your might what you want.

The worship session which threw the entire congregation into the atmosphere of healing, deliverance and breakthrough was led by the gifted child Miss Destiny Amadi. It was the confirmation of the word directly from the mouth of Jesus Christ our Saviour as recorded in Matthew 21:16, “... out from the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hath perfected praise”. Thanks to God who gave us the privilege to experience his Word come to pass even in our generation.

Joy was visibly seen in the faces of some of the Children who were transferred from the Children Church to the Teens’ Church. They were charged to be of good conduct and Ambassadors of Christ wherever man is found by the Sectional Leader and Senior Pastor, Rev, Uranta. They were thereafter received into the Teen’s department by Brother Princewill Ogbonda  on behalf of other Teens Teacher.

The highlight of the thanksgiving celebration was the ministration of the Word of Life which came forth with power and grace by little Master Othni Obi who spoke on the topic, “The Extent the Gospel should be preached”. He took his text from Acts 1:8.

As part of the thanksgiving service, the Children appreciated God not only with their talents and gifting but also with their substances as they donated towards the building of the proposed worship centre while also appreciating the Ministers present and all CED Workers for their prayers and support.

Amongst the dignitaries present to grace the occasion were the Northern Rivers District Coordinator (CED), Rev. Friday Effiong and wife; Woji Section 2 Sectional Leader, Rev. Charles Uranta and wife, Sectional CED Coordinator, Pst.
Toby and wife, Dr. Mrs. Obioma Agwa, Engr. Okechukwu Uche, Engr. Basil Mmezi and a host of others.
