IKONO/INI REP RESTATES PLAN FOR MAIDEN EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME
.....commits to emancipation of constituents
In keeping to his avowed commitment to the emancipation of his constituents and in fulfillment of his campaign promise, the member representing Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon.(Obong) Emmanuel Ukpong-udo has restated plans to roll out his maiden empowerment programme soon.
Ukpong-udo made the disclosure today while addressing his constituents at the marriage ceremony of his cousin, former Miss Imoh Emmanuel Okon who tied the nuptial knots with her heartthrob, Engr. Otobong Peters, a native of Essien Udim LGA.
The solemnization was held at the Immaculate Conception Parish, along Abak road in Ikot Ekpene where the couple exchanged marital vows in accordance with the ordinances of the Catholic faith while the traditional marriage and reception took place at Ekong's Polytechnic, Ndiya Ikot Akpa Edet in Ikono Local Government Area.
The federal lawmaker stated that the empowerment programme would be a recurring decimal all through his tenure at the green chambers while urging Ikono/Ini people to keep the faith as better days were in the offing for the constituency.
The event was well attended by the political class across the state, family members, indigenes of the area, friends and well wishers.
