Group presents Educational Materials to Schools in Akwa Ibom.



A group under the auspices of School of Art and Science Uyo old Students Association(SASOSA) has donated over 300 different science textbooks to different schools in Akwa ibom state.

Speaking during the book presentations in all the schools visited, the chairman of the association Prince Inem Inyangette opined that, as products of Arts and Science ,taking into cognizance the efficacy of technologically driven society today made possible by science, they're compel to do what they're doing for the betterment of a brighter future for the upcoming generations in the overall interest of Akwa ibom state and beyond.

Speaking further, prince Inem Inyangette posited that the development of our society can not be left to the government alone,that it is a collective responsibilities  and that they're are doing this to compliment Government efforts in sustaining the free and compulsory education policy which has yielded a tremendous result.






He thanked the government for the sustainace of the free and compulsory education in the state which has made it a bit easier for SASOSA to compliment other than starting from the scratch.

Prince Inyangette and his team has so far visited four different schools across the state where donations of 60 textbooks comprising of Physics,Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science,Geography and English language were donated to each of the school as part of their contributions to the free Education system in the state.

The schools so far visited and books donated include, Presbyterian Science School, Ididep.
Qua Iboe Church Senior Science School, Ndon Eyo.

Community Secondary School, Mbak Eto and  Comprehensive Secondary School ,Ndiya.

While responding, one of the beneficiaries,the vice principal Admin. who stood  in for the Principal Comprehensive Secondary school ,Ndiya thanked SASOSA for dimming it fit to include the school in their benevolence while also regretting the necglet done to the school.

In his words, " it is unfortunate that this is the only government school in the locality  of 20villages ( Ndiya ward 8),its sad that since her inception in 1976 that there is no government presence despite several efforts and appeals made by the school authorities. We have written to several government agancies including NDDC but to no avail.

I thank you and your team for remembering us ,we are very happy and indeed this have revived and rekindled our hope that soon,succor will come to  the comprehensive Secondary school,Ndiya"".

Similarly, the principal of community secondary school ,Mbak Etoi was full of praises and thanked SASOSA for their generosity and adding value and by giving back to the society.

He further commended the association for their love and commitment to humanity ,that it takes courage and humane heart for people to do what they're doing at a time like this amidst personal and family responsibilities.

It is instructive to note that more have been mapped out by SASOSA for further donations.
