PDP UNIT2UNIT FRONTIERS INTERFACE STAKEHOLDERS OF WARD 5 IN IKONO
Stakeholders
of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Ukpom, Ward 5, Ikono Local Government
Area have been tasked to focus on mobilizing, Collaborating, integrating,
reconciling, and working tirelessly to ensure that all Candidates of the party
emerge victorious in the forth coming General elections.
The
State Coordinator of the PDP advance team, Sir Rustom Alexander engaged the
Stakeholders yesterday 4th, August, 2022, at Ukpom Civic Center when he led the
team to interface with the who is who in the ward.
Alexander said the electorates should not fight with one another, stressing that the team is poised to close the gap and put reasonable reconciliation so that they can work as a family.
Hear
him, "We have adequately made solid consultation to bring people on board
who can handle the challenges. We are here to hand over unit to Unit frontiers to
the people of Ukpom ward 5. It is your own. You are going to give report to the
party at the state level. We are coming with a common message which is
collaboration, and integration. When we come together, we are going to gain
success in 2023." He maintained.
Also
Speaking, Pastor Lee Ukpabio who is in charge of the Unit2unit mobilization
said that the aspect of Unit to Unit frontiers is to embark on mobilization for
the success of all candidates in PDP across boards.
Pastor
Ukpabio emphasized that if PDP candidates emerge in 2023, it will not be nice that Ukpom did not contribute to
the success and as such the dividends of democracy may not be expanded to them.
He thanked Barr Moses Akpan and other
stakeholders who have given their consent and ensures that it clinches success
in 2023.
According
to him, "Ikono Local Government Area is the Genesis of Unit to Unit
frontiers in Akwa Ibom State, and as such
irrespective of the denomination one may belong in terms of religion, he
or she must be be involved in this
process, pointing out that the team is
going to mobilize youths both males and females for the success of PDP.
His
words, "the 24 polling units in
Ukpom will have 72 coordinators who will work assiduously with the electorates
in the unit to gain success. For us to ensure that we curb challenge of having
fracas with our sister Local Government Area, Ini Local Government, we have to support Dr Glory Edet to win in 2023.
Let us support the Senatorial ambition of Barr Emmanuel Enoidem, and the
Governorship aspiration of Pastor Umo Eno as well as Hon Itoro Columba. By
this, we will get the benefits when time
comes."
Responding,
the leader of 7th Ikono Legislative Council, Hon Nsikak Ntok declared that
Ikono Local Government Area is PDP and as such, he vowed to join force with the
team and mobilize support door to door as well as house to house.
Ntok
called on the people of Ward 5 to come together and put their heads together so
as to deliver PDP at all levels.
Barr
John John advised that the movement is flying, having gain endorsement from
various stakeholders and thus people should work unanimously towards
electioneering process.

meeting had in attendance: Dr Otobong Ekpo, lecturer, University of Uyo.
Coordinator Ward 1, Mr Ifiokobong, the leader of Ikono 7th Legislative Council,
Hon Nsikak Ntok, Barr John John, the immediate past Councilor of Ward 5, Hon
Ndifreke Emmanuel, a front line youth Leader in the State, Mr Ubong, Former
councilor, Supervisor, and Deputy Chairman, Rt Hon Itoro Etukudo, Elder Okon
Paul, and others political Stalwarts in the ward.
On
a stop over at the residence of PDP Chairman in Ward 8, Sgt Samuel Akpan vowed
to work with AKS PDP Unit 2 Unit frontiers, and endorsed the team.
"
If I am weak somedays, the Unit to unit coordinator in my ward should come and
take my car, and carry his team to wherever they want to go. No matter the
politics people should play, there should be a element of truth. I have long
been waiting for a platform like this. I
have endorse this group as the ward chairman." He highlighted
The
Political Adviser of the team, Mr Okon Paul urged that whoever is assigned a
responsibility should work round the clock for the success of the party.
It
ended with the presentation of Unit2 Unit Coordinator in Ward 8 to the Ward
Chairman.
