AWARD-WINNING CHAIR DELIVERS TWO 300KVA TRANSFORMERS IN IKONO

As what is described by many as transformational leadership experienced in other communities, the advent of Itoro Columba Administration in Ikono Local Government Area has equally brought alot of developmental strides and people-centered projects in the land.




The vision aimed at ameliorating the sufferings of his people at the grassroot, by extension making life more meaningful as become pivot in this administration.

Today, in pursuance of State Government policy on steady power supply in many communities in the state, two 300KVA transformers, through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Power, have been approved and released by the Governor, His Excellency, Deacon Udom Emmanuel.

The Chairman of Ikono Local Government Council, Akparawa (Hon) Itoro Columba was on hand to deliver the transformers to Ikono General Hospital, Ibiaku Ntok Okpo and Immaculate Conception Secondary School, Nung Udoe Itak community.

Speaking while delivering the transformers, Mr. Columba who doubles as the CHANNEL through which they came, lauded the State Governor for quick intervention on power outage in the area, expressing satisfaction on government fast response in ensuring that the Hospital, School and electorate benefit the dividend of Democracy.

Responding on behalf of the area, Kierian Ekpotu, a Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, appreciated the Chairman for his prompt intervention.

Mr Ekpotu said, the installation would go along way to boost electricity spread and increase medical facilitation to patients, while lauding the Governor for his massive strides in the health sector since assumption of office.

It is believed, the natives of these benefitting commnunies will continue to appreciate PDP government as being very successful, while making effort to support sitting council boss who pleaded with the State Government for this feat.

Thereafter, the chairman had a sit out with natives of Itak community, to consolidate on his next plan in delivering more projects to the people.
