ITORO COLUMBA RECEIVES IKONO ALL-STARS TEAM

....charges the team for Unity



As the stride to nurture and showcase many talents for future use thickens in the land, members of Akwa Ibom State All-Stars International Football Club, Ikono chapter, paid a courtesy call on the Sports' friendly Charman of Ikono Local Government Council, Akparawa Itoro Columba, today in his office at the council Secretariat, Ibiaku Ntok Okpo.

The football club led by the captain, Mr. Godwin Etim Akpan, also had in attendance the President, Hon. Akpa Atang, management board members; Hon. Etop Umoidem and Comrade Nsima Atang, alongside Chairman of Elders Forum, Dr. Etokobong.

Ikono All-Stars which is described as a subset of Akwa Ibom State All-Stars International Football Club, has been in existence for some decades with a few renounced talented Sons playing for Akwa United Football club.

With ignited passion to win any football tournament across board, the club has given birth to so much talents; some of which are exported outside the State, while raising upcoming and emerging stars in A'Ibom, with reference to young folks.

Speaking during the visit, the chairman thanked them for the visit, expressing happiness on their performance in the field of play.

Mr. Columba said, he was satisfied with the team for standing firm with his Vice Chairman by giving him enabling support needed to succeed in office.

The council boss urged them to always unite and remain together for the achievement of their collective dreams in life, saying that with teamwork, the club would attain a greater height.

Responding on behalf of the team, the President, Mr Akpa Atang, said that the club has enjoyed the goodwill and mutual relationship existing between the present Administration and All-Stars team, describing the support of Akparawa Columba as commendable.
